Frenkie de Jong, a Dutch midfielder for Barcelona, is aiming for a special number with his Catalan team tonight, when Barcelona meets Real Sociedad at ten o’clock at the Anoeta stadium in the Liga competition’s second round.
According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Frenkie de Jong will make his 100th La Liga appearance for Barcelona today, having won 62 games since his debut in 2019.
Barcelona is seeking for a victory at Real Sociedad and the first three points in the league after a dismal draw against Rayo Vallecano in front of its home fans at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez failed to breach Vallecanos’ stronger defenders in the first round, resulting in a goalless draw, and the visitors were even closer to grabbing the victory but for Ter Stegen’s heroics.
