Endeavor plans to offer auto repair services and hire a mechanic in Egypt as soon as possible (Hewar)

According to Marwan Hegazy, Marketing Director of Endeavor in the Middle East and North Africa, Endeavor wants to introduce additional services in the Egyptian market, such as asking a vehicle specialist and auto maintenance.

He stated that the firm views its time in the Egyptian market as a test, and that it would expand in the next months to accomplish spread and offer additional services.

During an interview with “Masrawy,” Hegazy stated that one of the most important factors for the company’s good results in the Egyptian market is the service delivery model represented in “Al-Fasal” because Egyptians love this feature, and it also gives the two parties (the driver – the customer) space to accept or reject the request.

According to Hegazy, sponsoring the Pyramids Club is the company’s first experience sponsoring a football team, and it is waiting for the outcomes of this experiment to be replicated in other markets.

And here is the conversation’s text:

The Egyptian market is competitive, which is why we are interested in it, and Endeavor has a unique business model in that the application allows the customer to set the price of the trip, which means that the customer tells the captain how much he wants to pay, and the captain can accept the offer or make another suitable offer for him.

Endeavor’s business approach has enabled us to compete with worldwide corporations in a variety of other areas, including Latin America, Asia, and Africa.

The company’s services are defined by the fact that the commission we receive does not exceed 10%, whereas rivals receive between 25 and 30%, and this is one of the most essential things that distinguishes us from the competition. Our business approach is also distinguished by allowing users freedom of choice; we do not determine or impose any constraints on them; they choose what is best for them.

We do not impose anything on our users because they are the ones who define the conditions of their transactions. They are allowed to set their own prices and select the best offers that suit them; this applies not only to consumers, but also to captains; the captain is free to select the connection request that best suits him.

We started the service in Egypt relatively recently, so we don’t have the opportunity to compare the results before and after. We are now in the data collection stage, because our business model is very flexible, which means that people agree on the cost, and factors like inflation and the increase in the cost of gasoline and other expenses are taken into account when setting the price.

I can state that we have strong growth rate results, which allows us to be quite positive about the Egyptian market rivalry, and it appears to us that the locals loved our business strategy, they enjoy the ‘fasal.’

We will gradually provide new services such as find a vehicle mechanic, auto repair, and so on, but it is too early to discuss them.

It is assumed that the company’s strategy for entering new markets is that we work for free at first – only to invest in the market – and then start generating income through our services, not only after successful tests, but also after confirming the assumptions made by our analytics department.

Of course, using electric cars is a great idea, but the cars registered on the application belong to their owners, not to us; therefore, if our customers decide to use electric cars on trips in or out of the city, we will be delighted with this transformation, which contributes significantly to alleviating the environmental problems that we all face.

Yes, we are already registered in Egypt and have filed all of the documentation required by the Egyptian government for quite some time, and Enddriver is one of the most essential concepts and principles to comply with all laws in the countries where we are present.

Our goal for 2022 is to broaden the scope of our services and raise customer awareness of the various services we offer them at competitive prices across all applications, such as transportation services for individuals within the city, intercity trips, and freight services, as well as to increase our market share in Egypt.

We began working in Egypt less than two years ago and have grown rapidly as we perceive Egyptians favorably and liked our service.

Because the previous time was a testing phase for the market and acceptability, the data is still a little hazy, but the statistics will become clearer and more accurate shortly.

This is the first time in Enddriver’s history that we have sponsored a football team; based on this experience, we will consider whether to sponsor football teams in other countries; I can’t divulge the terms of the agreement, but they are very normal.

Concerning the potential of sponsoring another team in the Egyptian League, I do not believe we are ready to do so because we have an excellent connection with Pyramids Club.

Based on current growth indicators, I am certain that we will continue to develop swiftly and grab a considerable market share in the Egyptian market, in addition to having large plans to invest in the Egyptian market.

Our app was the #1 and most downloaded in this category in Egypt in 2021, with over 8 million downloads, but we cannot publish the precise amount of users or trips at this time.
