Due to an armed incident in Mogadishu, the Somali parliament postpones its plenary session.

The Somali parliament’s presidency said that the plenary session scheduled for today, Saturday, has been moved to tomorrow, Sunday, owing to the ongoing exchange of fire in a hotel in the city, Mogadishu.

According to local media, fighting between Al-Shabab terrorists and Somali security forces continues following an attack on a hotel in central Mogadishu.

According to media accounts, 15 people were murdered, including the hotel owner, civilians, and military personnel, with more than 20 more injured.

More than thirty persons were rescued by security forces, while other hostages remained in the hotel till the news was written.
