The Syrian Artists Syndicate confirmed the death of the legendary artist Bassam Lotfi today, Friday, at the age of 82.
The late artist, one of the creators of Syrian theater, was mourned by the Syndicate of Artists. In 1940, he was born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm. He is regarded as one of the most notable Arab performers, as well as a pioneer and originator of Syrian play.
