WBAY reports from MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI. A 30-year-old Appleton man was detained in Manitowoc County, where he was planning to meet up with a 15-year-old girl for a sexual relationship, according to investigators.
According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, an officer replied to an online personal ad acting as a 15-year-old girl. Stamper agreed to meet with the young lady. He was apprehended when he arrived in Manitowoc County.
He was charged formally on Thursday with using a computer to aid a child sex offence and enticing a kid for sexual contact. Both are crimes punishable by up to 40 years in jail if convicted.
Stamper was freed on monetary bail of $1,000. He is not permitted to possess any internet-enabled gadgets or communicate with anybody under the age of 18.
Authorities are investigating if Stamper interacted with kids prior to his detention.
