Moscow warns Washington not to be a party to the conflict in Ukraine

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that Moscow does not want the US to become a participant to the Ukrainian crisis, but Washington has so far failed to listen. We do not want things to get worse. We want to avoid a situation in which the states become antagonistic. The United States is a party to the battle, but we have yet to see a readiness on this (American) side to take these warnings seriously.

I want to emphasise that we have not only given a warning, but we have also provided formal signals to Washington, including in the form of a protest note and through the meetings convened for this reason, said Russia’s deputy foreign minister.
Ryabkov cautioned that the United States is on the verge of becoming a party to the conflict as it becomes more obviously and profoundly involved in what is occurring in Ukraine in terms of fighting our own military action.

While Washington denies any involvement in any choices surrounding the use of weapons (in Ukraine), reality refutes this, as do comments, including Ukrainian declarations.

According to him, it was important to begin not delivering these weapons to Ukraine, and now the West, particularly the United States, is attempting to construct justifications for providing all weaponry under the context of Ukraine’s right to defend itself…

Moscow advises Washington not to become involved in the Ukrainian crisis.
