Israel insists that any efforts to resurrect the nuclear accord be abandoned.

Updates from Al-Madina: Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid discussed the need to stop efforts to revive the Iranian nuclear deal with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today, Thursday, according to a senior diplomatic source in Israel.
The official reported that Lapid also spoke with Tom Ned, the US ambassador to Israel, and Ted Deutsch, the chairman of the Middle East Committee of the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee.

The head of Israel’s National Security Council, Eyal Holata, would travel to the US the following week for additional negotiations.
The talks happened just days after the European Union unveiled final draught wording meant to save the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which former US President Donald Trump withdrew from in 2018.
The Israeli official wrote in an email that it was time to halt negotiations with Iran, adding that doing anything else would send the wrong message.

It’s time to sit down and talk about what needs to be done going forward to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, he said.
Israel has repeatedly expressed its opposition to attempts to revive the nuclear accord and has stated that it will use action if necessary to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon or to take on Iranian-backed armed groups in the region.

Iran has warned Israel with a crushing response, despite its repeated denials that it wants to develop nuclear weapons.

Israel demands that all attempts to revive the nuclear agreement be abandoned.
