A rare step.. Apple offers extraordinary iPhone discounts in China.

According to the Indian Express website, citing a Bloomberg Agency report, Apple has begun a one-of-a-kind promotion in China, consisting of four-day discounts on iPhone phones and related accessories, ahead of the release of the new series of phones this fall.

This is an unusual step because Apple does not typically offer it or reduce the prices of its products to this extent, as the value of the discount is 600 yuan ($ 89) off the price of the iPhone 13 Pro phones, with the discount period running from July 29 to August 1, according to its official website.
To take advantage of this bargain, buyers must use one of a few particular payment methods, such as Alipay, and the discount also applies to select models of AirPods and Apple Watches.

The current discount corresponds with the Chinese economy’s efforts to return to prosperity and recover from the Corona virus’s closures, notably in regions like Shanghai and Beijing, which harmed the sales of local smart phone companies like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo.

Apple deviated from the traditional pattern of corporate performance and sales, showing great sales growth in China during the month of June, despite discounts indicating that it still had an excess of inventory during the second half of the year, according to local statistics.

According to Canalysys earlier this month, sluggish consumer demand, inflation, and supply chain concerns caused global smartphone sales to fall by 9 during the second quarter of the year, with Chinese firms suffering the most, registering a percentage reduction of 11.

Apple maintained iPhone pricing consistent from generation to generation, but this year’s economic woes compelled it to take an unusual step, lowering prices in Japan in reaction to a significant drop in the value of the Japanese yen.
In China, Apple offers a variety of payment options, including instalment plans, and offers cheaper rates to students, but it has resisted offering discounts on its flagship phones for years.

In an unusual move, Apple is offering unprecedented iPhone discounts in China.
