The Israeli army killed a Palestinian today, Friday, near Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank.
Salah Tawfiq Sawafta, 58, died this morning in Tubas from serious wounds caused by Israeli bullets in the head, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Israeli army previously reported that the individual carried out an operation in Tubas by opening fire with his machine gun.
In a statement, the Palestinian resistance committees stated, “We grieve the martyr of dawn, Salah Sawafta Abu Jbara, who died after being hit in the head while leaving the morning prayer today, Friday, in the city of Tubas.”
She went on to say, “The assassination of the martyr of the morning adds to the rising atrocities of the Zionist enemy against our people throughout our wonderful land.”
