14 teams meet for the first time in the opening round of the Saudi League

As the first round of the Saudi League matches will begin on August 25, Saudi football fans are anticipating the commencement of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League.
The first round of the Saudi Professional League will have seven seven matches for the first time since the league’s inception, bringing 14 teams together for the first time.

A match involving two teams that will play each other for the second time since the new league format was implemented will also be included in the first round.
Three days will be dedicated to the seven matches, with the first day beginning with two matches between Al-Fayhaa and Damak and Al-Khaleej and Al-Hilal.

While playing on the second day, Al-Ittifaq against Al-Tai, and the newly promoted Justice, the Professional Federation receives the Egyptian duo Ahmed Hegazy and Tariq Hamed within its ranks, while Al-Shabab faces its sub-guest.
On the third day, Al-Raed will play with Abha, while Al-Nassr will host Al-Wahda at its Mursool Park stadium.

Last but not least, Al-Fateh and Al-Taawon will face off again in the first round. The teams previously faced off in the opening round of the 2017–2018 season, during which Al-Taawon triumphed four goals to one.

In the Saudi League’s first round, 14 teams play each other for the first time.
