The International Coalition declares an attack on Deir ez-Green Zor’s Village.

According to the International Coalition to Counter ISIS, four rocket-propelled grenades landed from indirect fire near the Green Village in northeastern Syria on Monday evening, inflicting no injuries.
Green Village is the name given by Americans to a facility they erected near the Al-Omar oil field in 2018 to protect and defend its allies from the region’s Syrian Democratic Forces.

The coalition said in a statement issued today, Tuesday, that the missiles presented a threat to the area’s people and infrastructure, adding that a number of the missiles did not detonate and were collected by coalition soldiers and their Syrian Democratic Forces allies.
Major General John Brennan, Combined Joint Task Force Commander Operation Inherent Resolve, said that no casualties or damage were reported in the incident.

According to the statement, in January, Iran-backed groups launched eight missiles at coalition soldiers in the Green Village, causing minor damage to the base and a nearby mosque.
The incident happened only hours after drones attacked the region near the American base at Al-Tanf in southeast Syria.
