Elliott Management withdraws from its SoftBank investment.

Almost all of Elliott Management’s investment in Japanese company SoftBank has been made.
People with knowledge of the situation claim that the US fund decided to give up on its long-term bet on SoftBank by selling the majority of its stock in the company after having previously bought shares in the company for $2. 5 billion.
One of the people claimed that Elliott made this choice after losing faith in the Japanese group’s billionaire founder, Masayoshi Son.

Although the publication was unable to determine the scope and timing of Elliotts Fund transactions, a source claimed that they took place early this year, at a time when technology stocks—including SoftBank—were sharply declining.

Elliott Management sells its stake in SoftBank.
