Daria Kasatkina of Russia was knocked out in the first round of the Cincinnati American Womens Tennis Championships (1000 WTA), which is played on hard courts and has a prize purse of more than $2 million and $527,500.
The Russian player, rated ninth in the event, was eliminated by American lady Amanda Anisimova on Monday after losing to her in two sets without a comeback, with one result: (4-6) and (4-6).

Daria Kasatkina, 25, has now suffered three defeats against her American opponent.
While Amanda Anisimova (20) will be in the second round, she will be waiting for the winner of the match between Americans Sofia Kenin and Shelby Rogers.
