According to Egyptian Public Prosecutor Hamada El-statement Sawy’s made today, Sunday, witnesses at the site of the fire at the Munira Church in Imbaba, Giza Governorate, which killed hundreds, revealed that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in a device used to produce power.

The Public Prosecution has finished a study of all the remains from the fire at the Abu Sefein Church in Imbaba, according to the statement, and there were no obvious injuries indicating of anything other than suffocation.
He also reported 41 deaths and 16 injuries, including two officers and two police officers, and directed to the interrogation of 14 of the injured, whose circumstances permitted it.
