PSG defeated Montpellier 5-2 to maintain their great start to the French league this season.
On Saturday evening, the two clubs clashed in the second round of the French League at Paris Saint-home Germain’s stadium, Parc des Princes.
Faialo Sakho, a Montpellier player, made a mistake in his own net in the 39th minute of the game, giving Paris Saint-Germain the lead. Brazilian Neymar scored Paris Saint-goal Germain’s in the 43rd minute on a penalty kick.
Neymar’s brilliance continued in the 51st minute, when he scored his second personal goal of the game as well as his team’s third.
Kylian Mbappe also made amends for his missed penalty attempt in the first half by scoring PSG’s goal in the 69th minute.
Renato Sanchez, a rookie from Portugal, joined the list of goal scorers in the 88th minute, scoring for Saint-Fifth Germains.
Montpellier scored twice in the 58th and 92nd minutes, thanks to Tunisian attacker Wahbi Khazri and Enzo Chateau.
This is Paris Saint-second Germain’s victory in the French League this season, following a five-goal triumph against Clermont Foot in the first round.
It is worth mentioning that Paris Saint-Germain, the current French League champion, is seeking to win the competition for the 11th time in its existence.
After a thrashing of Montpellier, Paris Saint-Germain now leads the French League.
