Is the world heading for disaster?.. the Zaporizhia reactor crisis

The largest nuclear facility in Europe, Ukraine’s Zaporizhia, has returned to the headlines in recent days, with an artillery assault on the plant, placing the ancient continent on the verge of a nuclear disaster similar to the one that occurred at Chernobyl in 1986.
In a recent remark, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov argued that Western nations with power in Ukraine should put pressure on Kiev to cease attacking the Zaporizhia station.

The Russian Defense Ministry believed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration was committing nuclear terrorism.
The Russian military claimed that the lack of a radioactive leak was due to a coincidence, which raises several questions.
Zelensky, on the other hand, urged for a greater international reaction to what he called Russian nuclear terrorism following the station blast on Sunday.

The Ukrainian national nuclear energy firm Energoatum claimed Russian bombardment for the plant’s destruction, although the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Zaporizhia station was targeted by the 44th Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian army on the other shore of Lake Kakhovka.
