Barcelona announced today, Thursday, the signing of French defender Jules Conde, from the Seville team, as the club’s fifth deals during the current summer Mercato.
A Barcelona statement said: “The club has reached an agreement with Seville regarding the transfer of Jules Conde, pending the signing of contracts and the player’s medical examinations.”
The French defender arrived in Barcelona today, Thursday, to complete the procedures for his transfer to the Catalan club during the current summer Mercato.
Conde will remain in Barcelona and will not travel to the team on his current tour of the United States of America and will be his first training next Monday.
Press reports revealed that Conde’s joining Barcelona will amount to 60 million euros, including incentives, and he will sign a 4-year contract with Barca to run until 2026.
Conde was born in Paris on November 12, 1998, his family originally came from Benin. He started playing for small clubs in the suburbs of Bordeaux in southeast France, he made his first try at the age of 14 and joined the youth ranks of the Bordeaux team.
